Að verða við is a series of intercultural events hosted by the University of Iceland and curated by Juan Camilo Román Estrada—poet, educator, and storyteller—in his role as the University’s intercultural officer and project manager of Sprettur, a program that supports immigrants in accessing and succeeding in higher education. The series invites participants to celebrate the diversity of cultures, languages, accents, arts, poetics, narratives, and lived expressions that inhabit, pass through, and enrich the University of Iceland. The events have been organized in collaboration with Ós Pressan, the University of Akureyri, and the Akureyri Municipal Library.
