Call for Submissions
Ós - The Journal N.4
The submissions for Journal N.4 are currently closed.
Entries are open to all writers and artists who are somehow connected to Iceland. There is no theme and our journal is open to (m)any literary and artistic formats: prose, poetry, visual poems, cartoons, creative nonfiction, etc.
We will consider work in any language. You may submit translations, but it is your responsibility to secure rights to the work before it is submitted.
Submissions are read blind and files should not contain any identifying items. Submissions are limited to five A4 pages, using Times New Roman font size 11. All manuscripts should be sent as .pdf, .doc or .docx files. All illustrations and images should be submitted as scanned or digital files in high-resolution (300dpi). We can print images only in black and white, but a full color version of your work will be available via QR code.
Please be aware that we cannot guarantee a chance to proofread before publication, so proofread carefully before submitting. If your work features in our journal, you will receive two contributor’s copies as payment.
We allow simultaneous submissions. Previously published work must be free of copyright restrictions. We reserve the right to decline submissions which we consider offensive or have not complied with the submission guidelines.
Submit by email to the email below. Please also include in the e-mail a bio of no more than 50 words written in the third person, along with a few words on how you’re connected to Iceland.
We look forward to considering your work.
